The Orcs of Cute Bunny Pond Background: Once upon a time, a bunch of orcs decided it was wrong to kill people and break things. Instead, they preferred to spend their days picking wildflowers and frolicking merrily. This did not sit well with the other orcs, and the pacifists (those that survived...) were forced to flee deep into the woods. To their incredible luck, they came across the ruins of an old fortress that happened to have a wonderful view of a small pond that resembled a cute li'l bunny. Delighted with their find, the orcs moved in and redecorated. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Your mission: Woodsmen have brought tales of orcs wandering through the woods that, when approached, make no attempt to fight. Uther Lightbringer believes that these beasts may have become disillusioned with their role in the war, thus making it possible to win them over to our side. Speed is of the essence, as there are reports of a large offshoot of the Horde's forces moving in from the North East. You must: 1. Find all orcs in the area. 2. If they are friendly, enlist their services. 3. If not, kill'em. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Your forces: You will be accompanied by Uther himself, as he considers the conversion of the orcs to be of great import and wishes to oversee this task personally. Also in your troupe will be an Enchanter by the name of ... Tim. Tim the Enchanter believes the orcs may have knowledge of an ancient ruin which is told to hold immense wealth - the Castle of Aaaaagh. The contents of this fortress' coffers would greatly increase our resources in the fight against the Horde. Tim also claims that there may be a dwarven settlement in the area as well, but when asked for more information he simply blew up a few trees and started mumbling about killer rabbits. The perpetually harsh weather of this area has toughened up both the local peasants and the wildlife. Don't make plans to put them on your front lines, but should the need arise they may well hold their own in a fight. Expect more woodsmen to join you as you venture further into the woods. Unfortunately, the same whether conditions have made flight a risky endeavor at best. any attempts to build Gnomish Flying Machines or bring in Gryphon Riders would prove to be a great burden on your resources, and those involved would not remain airborne for long. Good luck, and good hunting.
